A tool to clarify the risk factors of energy/carbon projects early and regularly, so that all stakeholders can understand the full picture and engage as productively as possible. Time is of the essence; CEARTscore™ helps all parties cut the diligence process to the chase.
CEARTscore™ saves a developer or sponsor project-threatening misunderstanding of the needs of finance; saves finance groups or project-purchasers an enormous amount of time and money spent on due diligence; enables insurers to quickly understand risk factors for a single, portfolio or pipeline of projects.
It allows all of these stakeholders to engage productively without the surprises which too often arise too late in the process.
THE PROCESS IS SIMPLE
After onboarding as a client, a project is uploaded from the dataroom in an automated process. A survey makes sure all of the documents have been read accurately by the platform intelligence.
Using a variety of heuristics and AI, the project is analyzed for risk across a wide range of factors: pro forma internal balance and reference against similar projects, deep contractual dive for project agreement bankability and correspondence with pro forma variables, public records and other searches of all project stakeholders, design doc stage of completeness, IE report analysis and much more.
A risk metric is quickly generated to give a broad outline of where the project falls on a scale of one (not remotely viable) to one hundred (minimal risk); the metric can be customized to meet priority concerns such as bankability, ESG, or tax credit eligibility. A red flag report is generated which summarizes project development tasks which must or should be completed, likely issues to arise in a standard due diligence process, suggestions for other improvements in the project. A dashboard is set up so that the project risk profile can be monitored as additional development occurs.
Once CEARTscore™ has been issued, as decided by the sponsor, the project can be deleted and its data removed from the system for best-in-class privacy and security.
Or, the sponsor can keep the project in the system. The platform can be an easy launching point for participation in other services currently under development, such as ongoing project compliance and management (CEARTtrack™) and access to project funding (CEARTfund™).
If they decide to Opt-in, an innovative digital funding mechanism called CEARTchain™ also allows project sponsors to participate in future profits as their project data is used to further train the AI.
